Prior to applying, please read carefully the Eligibility Criteria to ensure you meet all requirements.

To apply for the AADF U.S. Scholarship Funding for your Master’s studies in the U.S., please download the application form from this website, complete it in full, and submit it via email to info@aadfscholarship.org , together with all requested supporting documentation.

Submitting a complete and accurate application is the first step in the process. To help you get started smoothly, please carefully review the instructions and required documents listed below before sending your application.

General Instructions and Information

  1. All provided information and uploaded documents should be in English, or an English translation should be attached to the same document. Documents completed in any other language will not be taken into consideration unless an official English translation is attached to the same document.
  2. Some questions carry their own instructions that should be read carefully before proceeding.
  3. Questions must be answered completely and carefully. Please make every effort to limit your responses to the space provided.
  4. Answers you provide in this application must be your own. You may absolutely consult other sources of information when drafting an answer. Please make sure to correctly reference any such sources of information.
  5. Please make sure in advance that the university where you plan to continue your studies is listed among the Top 1000 universities worldwide according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. 
  6. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  7. All personal information that you provide as part of this application form will be treated with the utmost confidentiality by AADF, and will only be used for the sole purpose of deciding whether to grant you the partial scholarship or not.
  8. Applicants are encouraged to submit original responses. The use of AI-generated is discouraged for purpose of this application.
  9. All uploaded documents must be gathered in a PDF format. No other format is accepted.
  10. The e-mail title should follow this format: AADF SCHOLARSHIP US APPLICATION – NAME SURNAME

Eligibility Criteria

  1. I am an Albanian citizen;
  2. I have a valid Albanian passport throughout the whole duration of the program;
  3. I do not hold a US citizenship/green card, or any other citizenships;
  4. I have not resided outside of Albania for more than 3 consecutive years in the past 5 years;
  5. I have successfully completed my bachelor’s degree and possess an official diploma and grade transcripts;
  6. My grade point average is a minimum of 8.0 out of 10.0 or its equivalent (if higher education has been completed at an Albanian university), or a minimum of 3 out of 4 on the 4.0 USA GPA scale (if higher education has been completed at a university outside of Albania);
  7. I have a valid non expired TOEFL iBT test result or an equivalent English certificate, as required by the university;
  8. I have accumulated a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in my field of specialization;
  9. I have an unconditional admissions letter from a reputable U.S. university to commence a master’s degree in the fall of 2026 (please, refer to World Top 1000 Universities list: World University Rankings 2025 | Times Higher Education (THE)
  10. I have not had access to US public funds (scholarships granted by the US government or any agency that manages US public funds) in the past 2 years;
  11. I agree to return and reside in Albania for a minimum of two years to make a significant contribution to the relevant field and must agree to sign an agreement with AADF prior to start of academic year;
  12. I have never been convicted by a final court decision of any country.

Requested Documentation

Please, gather all these PDF documents and submit it to info@aadfscholarship.org  along with the application form.

Please submit three different references, in pdf format, not longer than 1 A4 page. One academic reference (from a former university professor, or from your thesis supervisor), one professional reference (from your direct line manager/supervisor), and one character reference (from a mentor, community leader, colleague).

Reference letters should be in English or translated in English. Reference letters should be signed by the person writing it and sealed with the stamp of the company/institution (where applicable).
